Meeting with Wiltshire Council Leader

I was greatly reassured to meet with Jane Scott yesterday and hear how the new unitary council for Wiltshire is settling in. I have been impressed through this wintery weather at how many roads have been gritted, even in more rural areas.

Meeting with Cllr Jane Scott OBE

A video of my meeting yesterday with Cllr Jane Scott, OBE, leader of Wiltshire Council, at County Hall, Trowbridge. We discussed how the Council is coping with the extreme weather, rubbish deliveries, Wiltshire Council in 2010, the state of the roads, Birds Marsh and Bradford on Avon golf course, and what makes a good politician.

Visiting elderly residents

Yesterday I went and visited some elderly residents in Chippenham just to make sure they were ok in this bitterly cold weather and to chat about the things that matter to them.

Snow Patrol

I am keen to ensure elderly constituents are looked after during the cold snap so yesterday I popped in on the residents of Castle Lodge this afternoon to see how they were coping in the arctic conditions.

Vote Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones

Please vote for me, Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, at the coming general election. I am not a career politician, I am someone with my own business that wants to give something back to my community and country.

Supporting Local Farmers

This week Nick Herbert, the Shadow Environment Secretary, announced a Conservative pledge for a supermarket ombudsman to help settle disputes between supermarkets and farmers.  I am all in favour.
