As a fellow Chippenham resident I am as appalled as everyone else about this damaging and unwanted proposal. Building on Birds Marsh would be an outrageous act of environmental vandalism and devastate a much loved piece of countryside. This site is rightly treasured because it contributes so much to the quality of local people living in our town. Developing on Birds Marsh would not just damage existing residents quality of life but would deny future generations the opportunity to enjoy this environmental jewel.

I am committed to doing everything I can to supporting my community in saving Birds Marsh and I urge residents to write to the Council planning department, at Monkton Park, in opposition. Judging by the passion and commitment shown by residents at the recent public meeting I am sure that by working together as a united community we will be able to defeat this disgraceful proposal.
